Here’s what PUBG on Xbox One needs to change to survive on the console

PUBG, which has just been released as an Xbox Game Preview on Xbox One, categorically does not meet the controller halfway. We’ve tried our hand at the new release, and so far it feels like a PC game played with a controller, rather than a console game. It’s been released as part of ‘Xbox Game Preview’, an initiative that emulates the Early Access model that’s grown so popular on PC. It needs the smallest amount of auto-aim, and it desperately needs its control scheme to be simplified if PUBG wa

OXM: You’ve been testing first-person servers recently – are they coming to Xbox as well? Chang Han Kim: Yes, we see Xbox Game Preview very much like Early Access on Steam, so we are trying to evolve the

[Rumor] The PS4 Topped Sales Numbers for November 2017

With the Xbox One X recently released, and the Nintendo Switch just launching earlier in the years, one would expect either console to have topped the sales charts in November. Considering the excitement behind the Nintendo Switch, it's quite the surprise. sales volume in the US was up 44% in November (cumulative Apr–Nov FY3/18 sales were up 38%), while software sales were up 2% (down 1%). The Switch saw a large increase in sales volume in comparison to October, but we still sense that trends ar

YouTube finally allows 4K streaming on Xbox One

That changes today with the launch of a new, separate YouTube app for both consoles that lets you watch YouTube videos in both glorious 4K resolution and at 60 frames per second. Curiously, though, the app doesn't let you watch videos in HDR. It's an entirely different app from the standard one for some reason, but other than that, it appears to function entirely the same. The app hasn't shown up on the actual Xbox store yet, but you can download it through the Windows Store through the link abo

PUBG on Xbox One X is rockier than expected (update)

Making PUBG run on the Xbox One platform at all, complete with its elegant new control scheme, had to have been a challenge. That all being said, playing the game on the Xbox One X is a delight if you have your expectations managed properly. It feels like you’re playing on a high-end PC, and the HDR support is a nice visual advantage. I had plenty of fun in my first few matches once I got over the initial disappointment about the game’s performance, however. Update: Digital Foundry has weighed i

PUBG on Xbox One X is rockier than expected

Playing the game on an Xbox One X connected to a 4K display, for me, showed a graphical improvement from the experience on my middling gaming PC running a GTX 970 graphics card.
