THQ Nordic starts the year by acquiring 1999 action-adventure Outcast

There have been attempts to bring it back, including a remake, Outcast: Second Contact, and a shelved sequel, Outcast 2: The Lost Paradise. Like many of THQ Nordic’s acquisitions over the last few years, Outcast already has people clamouring for a sequel. Obviously, THQ Nordic can afford to buy all of these games, but it would need a lot of resources to put all these licenses to use. At the moment, most of them sit in THQ Nordic’s vault, waiting for a possible announcement. Whether it plans to c

Alien: Blackout is unrelated to Isolation, Fox says more is coming ‘very soon’

The imminent return of Amanda Ripley to the world of Alien videogames gave us quite a ride, from excited speculation to "Oh, it's a mobile game" when Alien: Blackout was announced. "[Alien: Blackout] is a standalone game that shares Amanda Ripley as a main character but is not related to or a sequel of Isolation," it said. That doesn't exactly commit to a proper Isolation sequel but the implication is certainly there, and Blackout definitively is not it. Dear Alien fans, there is still more to c

Review: Gear.Club Unlimited 2 on Nintendo Switch is a disappointing racer

When the original Gear.Club Unlimited launched for the Nintendo Switch, I was quite positive about it, especially after coming out of its mobile counterpart which was riddled with microtransactions and other mobile trappings. It also helped that the competition was pretty much non-existent for a racing game featuring licensed cars. Anyone familiar with the original Gear.Club on the Switch will undoubtedly feel right at home with Unlimited 2, as most of it remains unchanged. I enjoyed the progres

Alien: Blackout isn’t the sequel Isolation fans were hoping for, but it’s still one to watch

Alien: Blackout has been officially revealed after months of title leaks and speculation, and it's far from the online shooter we've been expecting . Alien: Blackout is coming to iOS and Android on January 24, and it won't be free-to-play. If you remember the control panel bits of Alien: Isolation, which let you divert power between nodes to create distractions, some of the game interface will look familiar. No spoilers, but Alien: Isolation ended on a sudden cliffhanger, so hopefully we get som

Curious about the Bumblebee post-credits scenes? Here’s what happens and what it all means

Hey, even Bumblebee post-credits scenes are a thing now. So, is a Bumblebee 2 on the way and what does [SPOILER] showing up have to do with anything? If that isn’t a big flashing red light for Bumblebee 2 (or whatever another Transformers sequel will be called) then I don’t know what it is. It could very well bridge the gap between Bumblebee and the very first Transformers movie, too. Charlie fixes the CorvetteThe second and final Bumblebee post-credits scene sees Charlie, still recovering from

While Wonder Woman 2 is schedule for 2020, and there's been talk of a Justice League sequel, it's unclear whether Aquaman 2 is on the cards, or whether Jason Momoa himself even wants to stay aboard the DC ship. New Psychonauts 2 trailer reveals 2019 release date and plenty of new faces

A proper trailer for Psychonauts 2, the long-awaited sequel to Double Fine's beloved PS2-era 3D platformer, was revealed tonight at The Game Awards 2018. The trailer features plenty of new and familiar faces, but most importantly, it confirms that Psychonauts 2 is coming in 2019. I can't wait to see the aesthetics Double Fine's come up with for the minds of Raz's family. Development on Psychonauts 2 has been slow going to say the least, so it's nice to finally have a trailer and a release date.
