Alien: Isolation Sequel Not in Development, Confirms Fox

report this adRecently, to many fans’ disappointment, it was announced that the rumored sequel to Alien: Isolation, titled Alien: Blackout, will be a mobile game and not the big first-person horror game that many thought it would be. Following the widespread backlash by fans, FoxNet has mentioned that it is still working on more Alien games, but that a console sequel for Alien: Isolation specifically will not be releasing any time soon. In a recent interview with Variety, the Vice President of e

Alien: Blackout is unrelated to Isolation, Fox says more is coming ‘very soon’

The imminent return of Amanda Ripley to the world of Alien videogames gave us quite a ride, from excited speculation to "Oh, it's a mobile game" when Alien: Blackout was announced. "[Alien: Blackout] is a standalone game that shares Amanda Ripley as a main character but is not related to or a sequel of Isolation," it said. That doesn't exactly commit to a proper Isolation sequel but the implication is certainly there, and Blackout definitively is not it. Dear Alien fans, there is still more to c

Undertale creator made a wrestling promo for Kenny Omega

Undertale creator Toby Fox’s latest project is something of a surprise: a match promo video for New Japan Pro Wrestling star Kenny Omega. That game looks and plays a lot like Fox’s Undertale, pitting Omega against his rival Hiroshi Tanahashi. As wrestling promos go, it’s one of the more charming ones, and references Omega’s love of Street Fighter 5 and Undertale. (The wrestler named Undertale his favorite game of 2018 in one of Giant Bomb’s end-of-year awards.) Omega and Fox met at this year’s T

Echo Fox sign Rush and welcome back mid laner Fenix

The latest NA LCS team to get in on the off-season moves is Echo Fox, as the team begins to fill in some of the newly vacant roles starting with jungler Lee “Rush” Yoon-jae and the return of former mid laner Kim “Fenix” Jae-hun. Despite playing for a variety of teams over the last four years, Rush has never managed to find the same level of success in professional play that he’s consistently had in solo queue. Fenix’s journey to the team is slightly stranger. Since joining the league back in 201

Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden’s new character is a stone cold fox

Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is the XCOM-style "tactical adventure" with the wisecracking duck and the angry pig. But they're not the only heavily-armed mutant animal weirdos in town. Funcom dropped a new trailer today that reveals the game's third fur-and-gun-bearing character, a stone cold fox who goes by the name Farrow. Farrow won't be available at the start of the game, but can join your squad after she's been discovered in the Zone. Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden comes out on December 4,

Alien: Blackout all but confirmed for a Game Awards reveal, and… Kojima might be involved

A previously rumoured new Alien game, Alien Blackout, might well be getting a reveal at this year's Game Awards if a few cryptic tweets are to be believed. The 'W' and 'worlds will change' recalls the movie's bogyman company Weyland-Yutani, and it's 'building better worlds' tagline. The link between the tweets could just be timing, although both Kojima and the Game Awards must know what people are going to think. At the time Aaron Loeb, president of FoxNext Games, mentioned that the studio was w

Clutch Gaming sign former Echo Fox top laner Huni

Former Echo Fox and SK Telecom T1 top laner and world finalist Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon has signed with Clutch Gaming ahead of the 2019 season. Finally, Huni returned to North American and played with Echo Fox last year where he was regarded as one of the region’s best top laners. Clutch Gaming had an up and down year in 2018, the team’s first in the NA LCS as a part of the new franchising program. During the Spring Split the team managed to reach the third place match where it lost to Huni and Ech

Alien: Blackout could be the next Alien game, Fox trademark suggests

In January, FoxNext Games announced it was working on a new Alien shooter—and this week, its parent company 20th Century Fox filed a gaming trademark for Alien: Blackout, suggesting that could be the name of the next game in the franchise. The trademark was filed for use in "game software, computer game and video game software" and other such related words. It follows Hideo Kojima visiting 20th Century Fox and posting cryptic pictures with Alien signs this week. Whether that's a coincidence or n

Undertale creator answers questions about his mysterious new project

Undertale creator Toby Fox released a free, rather odd game yesterday called Deltarune, which those of you who are cleverer than I will notice is an anagram of Undertale. "I will say that basically, what you're seeing here is not the world of Undertale. If everyone was happy in your ending, the people in the Undertale world will still be happy. "It's just a game you can play after you complete Undertale, if you want to." If you played Undertale, I don't think I can make anything that makes you f
