A Square Enix subscription could be amazing if it collected every weird Final Fantasy port

There are still a few Final Fantasy games you can't buy on Steam. So are Final Fantasy Tactics and the Tactics Advance series. Here are all the platforms it's been released on since 1987: Famicom, MSX2, NES, WonderSwan Color, PlayStation (as part of Final Fantasy Origins), Game Boy Advance (as part of Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls), PlayStation Portable, mobile, Nintendo 3DS. Imagine Square coming up with something like that for Final Fantasy games, or supporting community events like the

Spider-Man’s Tom Holland is the Final Fantasy 14 ambassador you didn’t know you needed

Spider-Man star Tom Holland is so damn likable he could front a commercial for seal-clubbing vacations and still win us over. Luckily this new commercial for Final Fantasy 14’s Shadowbringers is a much easier win, showing Holland training to become the Warrior of Darkness, while a baffled Hannibal Buress looks on. "I'm training to be the Warrior of Darkness," says Holland. It continues the main story quest from Final Fantasy 14, letting players stray from the path of the Warriors of Light and he

Final Fantasy 14’s director cracks up when asked if it will ever get classic servers

Though few might remember it, Final Fantasy 14 originally launched in 2010, and was Not Good. That 2010 version of Final Fantasy is forever lost to time, though. At E3, Easy Allies interviewed Final Fantasy 14 game director Naoki Yoshida and, with WoW Classic looming, asked a reasonable question: Would Final Fantasy 14 ever get classic servers that recreated its 2010 version? When it first released in 2010, Final Fantasy 14 was an absolute disaster of a game. If you want to find out more about F

Final Fantasy 7 Remake fancy edition comes with Big Cloud and a super saiyan Chocobo

The Final Fantasy 7 Remake is going to be an enormous game. I guess if you're making an irresponsibly enormous game, you may as well make a lavish collector's edition, and Square Enix most certainly has. Now, I've seen some Chocobos in my day. But I've never seen a punk rock super saiyan Chocobo, let alone a punk rock super saiyan Chocobo Chick. Square Enix, please let it have a ridiculous crest of feathers just like this.

Destiny 2’s players find creative, punishingly difficult strategy to bypass raid bug

Destiny 2’s new Crown of Sorrow raid came out two weeks ago, and players have already mastered the new encounters. But Destiny streamer Gladd and his raiders not only bypassed the bug to complete the flawless raid, they did it with only half the players. This poses a major problem for players who want to complete the flawless raid. Gladd’s crew only used three players, rather than the six players that usually make up a raid crew. Because they had fewer players, they didn’t need to swap as freque

Square Enix got Tom Holland and Hannibal Buress for a Final Fantasy 14 ad

A new ad for Final Fantasy 14’s upcoming Shadowbringers expansion shows Spider-Man actor Tom Holland trying to become the Warrior of Darkness with comedian Hannibal Buress. Holland spends the video training to swing a giant Dark Knight sword and bust baddies, only to have Buress remind him that it’s a game and Holland is a gamer, so he just has to press buttons. The two then start playing, only for Holland to immediately die in-game. The two have great chemistry together, as we saw in parts of i
