Devil May Cry 5’s coming in spring 2019 and it stars Nero, Dante, and a wise-talking mechanic

Devil May Cry 5 is real, it stars Nero, and it's coming in spring 2019. Don't worry, the teaser ended with a quick appearance from original Devil May Cry protagonist Dante as well. But still, nice of Microsoft to give Nero and friends a great big stage to do their debut on, right? Oh, and one last thing: despite the fact that Microsoft now owns Ninja Theory, which developed DmC: Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 5 is being built internally at Capcom. We'll just have to wait and see what Ninja Theory

EA and DICE will bring 64-player battle royale action to Battlefield 5 on March 25. Devil May Cry 5 Lets You Pay to Come Back to Life

Prior to launch, there was much made about Devil May Cry 5‘s microtransactions and how they could negatively impact the balance of the game. Now that Devil May Cry 5 is available to the public, its revival system has been revealed to the masses. Whenever Dante, Nero, or V go down in Devil May Cry 5, players are given the option to come back to life using gold orbs or red orbs. Effectively, this means that Devil May Cry 5‘s microtransactions can be used to help players come back to life. Even so,

Battlefield 5’s leaked Firestorm tutorial gives you a taste of WW2 battle royale

Battlefield 5 's long-awaited battle royale mode, Firestorm, is set to debut sometime this month - but that's not soon enough for many players. And though EA has been pretty quiet regarding specific Firestorm details - save for a premature Daily Order mentioning the mode - a leaked tutorial video has plenty to offer, like the fact that Firestorm will feature solo, duo, or squad queues. Battlefield 5's global community engagement manager F8RGE expressed disappointment in response to the leak, but

Street Fighter 5’s in-game ads are gone, for now

Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition’s in-game ads have come and gone. The garish and intrusive ads, optional though they may be, no longer display in Capcom’s fighting game, and Street Fighter series producer Yoshinori Ono said the company is looking at ways to improve them. Sponsored content came to Street Fighter 5 in early December. Ads for the Capcom Pro Tour were slathered over the flesh and costumes (and children’s skulls) of the Street Fighter roster. Capcom never said that sponsored content

Battlefield 5’s guns are going back to normal, thank goodness

I have to think hard here, because if I ever said that Battlefield 5's time-to-kill was too low, I'll have to eat my words. In response, it made many guns less powerful, requiring approximately one extra bullet each for a kill. Though 'Core' playlists were being added for those who wanted the old TTK values, the vocal part of the player base was displeased. "After rolling out those changes last week, we’ve listened to your feedback, reviewed our statistical data, and have made the decision to re

Street Fighter 5’s in-game ads look a little silly

The upside for players is that they can earn extra Fight Money, Street Fighter 5’s in-game currency, but the implementation of those ads looks a little ridiculous. There are two categories of ads in Street Fighter 5: Sponsor Display, which stamps ads on characters and their costumes; and Loading and Stage Ads, which displays ads on certain stages and during loading screens. Capcom already showed what stage and character ads looked like when it announced the addition of in-game ads for Street Fig

How Far Cry: New Dawn will resurrect the series from a disaster of its own creation

Far Cry: New Dawn, which made its debut at The Game Awards last night, makes the bold - and we do mean bold - decision to carry on where Far Cry 5's ending left off. ***SPOILERS FOR FAR CRY 5 BELOW***Far Cry 5 ended on a bang. It wasn’t just Montana where the bombs fell; Far Cry 5’s ending was the beginning of a global nuclear apocalypse. Why should, say, someone whose only played Far Cry Primal (and yes, that someone is me) give Far Cry: New Dawn a go? “Far Cry: New Dawn is actually a great way
