  • EA announced today that it would be providing a new multiplayer mode for it’s upcoming The Godfather II, available by a downloadable patch immediately upon release. Not content with only exciting gamers, EA also made an offer that can’t be refused: this will be a free download. This announcement will surely add fuel to the fire of the ongoing debate of Capcom’s decision to charge for the additional downloadable multiplayer mode for Resident Evil 5. Don Control sounds pretty neat, I’m particularl

  • What’s a fair price for an Xbox Live Arcade game? When tasked with voting for how much Bionic Commando Rearmed should go for, the consumer said that less is more. But, there is someone who thinks differently:“I want to go on the record and say I feel like most downloadable games are under-priced. As a collector, I can relate to people who enjoy buying a game and having the game box, and manual. So the question is, how much is the most you would pay for an exclusively downloadable game (so as to

  • November 11th may not be the only release date in the future for the Mirror’s Edge line and the flagship character, Faith. DICE’s Senior Producer, Owen O’Brien, has spilled some details concerning the series and its story. Creating a level editor is a skill in itself, and that’s a lot of work. And if we do it, we want to make the level editor as easy to use and intuitive as the game is. And that’s going to take us quite a lot of time.

  • Earlier today, Kotaku reported the rumor that 50 Cent: Blood in the Sand was dead in the water. But then…We Got it Wrong, Wrong, Wrong: Turns out that our internal sources were slightly confused and despite our best efforts we got it wrong. While I’m still waiting for some sort of official word from the companies involved, this is what we’ve heard: While 50-Cent: Blood on the Sand was indeed jettisoned by Activision, the project isn’t dead. In fact we’re told that it is approaching gold and that

What’s HotNeither Sean O’neill or I were particularly excited to play Halo Wars. We’re both moderate Halo fans, me more so than him, but everything we had seen of Halo Wars pointed towards it being a generic RTS experience covered in a coat of Halo fan service. • Wow, we bet the ethics behind this could be argued all day long. So what then would be the verdict on making copies of a demo disc? On the one hand, the purpose of a demo disc is strictly advertising for an upcoming product. We may soon have our answers, as the Guitar Hero III demo from Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground and the December issue of Official Xbox Magazine is now out in the wilds of the web. The demo has five songs available:“Hit Me with Your Best Shot” – Pat Benetar“Lay Down” – Prieste

Two very important factors that could have a massive impact on the success of Microsoft’s biggest game when it launches on September 27. • As many already know, Halo 2 is backwards compatible on the Xbox 360. The obvious question then, is does the game look any better on the 360 than the regular Xbox? Well, while testing it out on our Xbox 360 console, we found that – assuming Halo 2 can be used as a sample of what to expect from the rest of the backwards-compatible Xbox selection – the new hardware may not have much of difference on the look of current-generation games. Unfortunately, the extra RAM and CPU power hasnt been put tow

The X and Y buttons were used to juggle opponents in the air, racking up a myriad of combo points in the process. • Just a quick item which caught my attention the other day, when I saw the press release. Apparently, a publisher known as Knowledge Adventure makes games for children 5-9, and their next effort is going to be “JumpStart Escape from Adventure Island” for the Wii, which is scheduled to come out November 17th. As you might recall, a certain company named Hudson has a series called “Adventure Island,” and have even released a new version on WiiWare. I can’t help but think that they might have reason

Metro Exodus is bigger than 2033 and Last Light combined

4A Games has said previously that Metro Exodus will be more open than the previous games in the Metro series, but it won't be a completely open world like that of Stalker. The biggest outdoor level in Last Light was roughly "200 meters to 100 meters," Prokhorov said,. That means everything from weapons, attachments, and other loot, to "frozen stories" that reveal more about the game world and
