gamezone wrote a new post, Preview: We finally use the Nintendo Switch on a daily basis, on the site GoGame.com 2 years ago
Nintendo was awesome and kind enough to send us a Switch a whole week and a half early ahead of its March 3rd launch. The build, as you probably already know from numerous preview events, is fantastic, and truly doesn’t feel like a Nintendo console. I’m not trying to knock Nintendo or anything, but the Wii and Wii U largely felt like toys, at least in comparison to the super sleek Switch. This is the primary way I’ve been experiencing the Switch and I absolutely love it. I know it’s a little thi
It seems surreal to say that I’ve already poured hours into The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, a game that has up until now, been shrouded in secrecy outside of those Nintendo Treehouse sessions which seemingly only showed one, very small portion of the entire game. Breath of the Wild is similar in this design, it trusts the player to make a decision on where to start exploring first. After you leave the initial “tutorial-ish” area, there’s one thing abundantly clear: Breath of the Wild wi
Partially through my epic quest to save Zelda, I realized that Breath of the Wild was my new Ocarina of Time. What’s interesting about the way Breath of the Wild tells its story is that it’s never presented to you in a cohesive manner, and certainly never spoonfed to you. Approach to combatPast Zelda games presented combat in a pretty straight-forward manner: You whip out your sword & shield, lock-on to an enemy and go ham. Maybe I was so used to the last few Zelda games, that I forgot just how
After 10,000 years…and a couple of decades later, a new incarnation of the ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ has arrived! Here are seven things you might have missed in ‘Power Rangers’:SPOILERS AHEAD! They made this a regular point throughout the plot, but what newbies may not know is that this is a direct reference to the *next team, the Zeo Rangers. ‘Power Rangers: Zeo’ aired during the 1996 season and was the first time the returning original team members received an entirely new set of Ranger g

While the movie is somehow regarded by critics as a disappointment, the fans have spoken in resounding favor of it. The first worry most fans likely had are the changes that would be made to the story and lore. Verdict:‘Power Rangers’ is one of the most enjoyable, heartfelt, and entertaining movies to come from a known IP. The source material is respected, these new Rangers are perfect, and most importantly, it’s the most fun you’ll have at the movies today! It’s easy to assume that among the dr

Final Fantasy XV was released in 2016, and since then has spawned some DLC. The game tells its own story with DLC coming for each character’s backstory/side stories. Today, we take a look at Episode Prompto, which you can guess follows Prompto’s backstory. Here’s the extended trailer:The DLC is confirmed for June 2017 and definitely seems more story-driven and plot focused than the last DLC Episode Gladiolus which followed a side story for the character Gladio. What are your thoughts on this tra
This time, they’ve jumped on board with Mighty Morphing Power Rangers. The original Power Rangers that is! Minecraft has announced a new skin pack for Console, Pocket, and Windows 10 versions of the game. This skin pack includes all the rangers of course, but it also includes Rita Repulsa, Lord Zed, Goldar, Bulk, Skull, and even Alpha! [More images of Skin Pack on Page 2]

It’s a busy week for Bungie and Destiny fans! Today, Age of Triumph officially launched for Destiny, an event that recaps all of Destiny’s biggest events thus far, ushering us into the age of Destiny 2. On top of that, to build hype up for Destiny 2, Bungie has released a teaser for the upcoming trailer reveal of Destiny 2! It’s definitely quite a bit for Destiny fans to consume, but there’s something hidden inside of Age of Triumph that’s a cherry on top. Found by Reddit user Undead_Primate, th

It might not stick around long-term, but a mildly hilarious potential oversight has rendered Final Fantasy XV’s toughest battle a piece of cake. As part of the game’s most recent update to fix the many (MANY) issues with Chapter 13, the Arcana spells that you wield as your only means of attack were significantly enhanced. Those effects appear to be so enhanced that the Adamantoise is now mere child’s play compared to what it once was. Or if the development team was simply too focused on fixing t

Not your traditional Psychonauts game:This game may not be what you expect from a Psychonauts game since it’s not a platformer, it’s not third-person, there’s no combat, etc. But it is very much a Psychonauts game in terms of tone, that side-bursting Double Fine humor, and the overall style. Verdict:If you’ve been waiting for a new Psychonau
gamezone wrote a new post, Review: Snake Pass has some great ideas but lacks finesse, on the site GoGame.com 2 years ago
Snake Pass is one such game, a title you have undoubtedly heard online around various convention discussions. Snake Pass is available for all three major platforms and the PC, but I opted for the Switch version as, despite my trepidations, I love Nintendo’s latest piece of hardware. Whilst it noticeably may not reach the fidelity of a copy running on PS4 Pro, the presentation is still impressive for such a small device. Which is a shame, because based on the press release I’ve received detailing

The former unlocks an ability that allows players to transform an enemy or NPC of their choosing into a chicken. As you can probably imagine, Summoning magic allows players to call forth an ally to help them in battle. Polymorphism allows players to transform their character in a variety of ways to open up combat possibilities. As mentioned earlier, the Polymorphism magic allows players to turn their foes into chickens, but to do so; you must take out your target’s magical armor, which then leav

League of Legends has a way of bringing out both the best and worst of gaming. A competitive League of Legends player over in China apparently took a loss so poorly that he took it out on both his head and the monitor he was playing on, managing to get himself very stuck in the process. Perhaps worst of all (or best, I can’t decide) was that the incident happened at a very public internet cafe. Allegedly, the act bore out of the frustration from one of the player’s teammates, which isn’t really

On mobile, Space Wolf follows the traditional free-2-play mobile game formula but when ported to PC everything got a facelift, microtransactions were removed, and what was left was a really promising strategy game! That said, much like the original game, Shards of Darkness is both incredibly focused yet limited in the scope of what it does well. As always, here’s a breakdown of what you need to know about Styx: Shards of Darkness. But in some cases with Styx: Shards of Darkness, I just ended up wishing that Stealth was all this game was about. Suffice it to say; if you can overlook its flaws, there’s a lot of fun to be had with Styx: Shards of Darkness. Ultimately, Styx: Shards of Darkness should please fa

4A Games has said previously that Metro Exodus will be more open than the previous games in the Metro series, but it won't be a completely open world like that of Stalker. For one thing, individual levels in Exodus will be much larger than anything seen in the previous games. The biggest outdoor level in Last Light was roughly "200 meters to 100 meters," Prokhorov said,. That means everything from weapons, attachments, and other loot, to "frozen stories" that reveal more about the game world and
Kalypso Media has announced that Tropico 6 for PC has been delayed until January 2019, with the dictator sim releasing for consoles in summer 2019. According to a statement from the publisher, Tropico was delayed from a 2018 release date to give the development team at Limbic Studios more time to polish the title. Devil May Cry 5 is real, it stars Nero, and it's coming in spring 2019. Don't worry, the teaser ended with a quick appearance from original Devil May Cry protagonist Dante as well. But still, nice of Microsoft to give Nero and friends a great big stage to do their debut on, right? Oh, and one last thing: despite the fact that Microsoft now owns Ninja Theory, which developed DmC: Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 5 is being built internally at Capcom. We'll just have to wait and see what Ninja Theory

Remember E3 2018, when Ubisoft showed off Starlink: Battle for Atlas, a sci-fi action adventure game that looked like a cross between No Man's Sky and The Last Starfighter? Starlink takes place in the Atlas star system, where players will encounter different alien races, form alliances with them, and assemble a crew of pilots with unique skills and abilities. The system contains seven planets, each with distinct environments, hazards, and story, and players can do battle on the ground and in spa
