  • Would-be thieves will soon have one less avenue to use to snare your Social Security number. Medicare has been the odd holdout among health insurance companies in using Social Security numbers as the basis for member IDs — and printing those identifiers right on the insurance card. That ends next year. Under the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015, the agency is required to remove Social Security numbers from all Medicare cards by April 2019. • If you’re a manager who wants to get ahead at work, a simple change to how you communicate could be all you need. “You have a weapon at your disposal, which you can unleash right now to take your career to the next level,” says Suzy Welch, best-selling management author and CNBC contributor. “I’m talking about taking the B.S. and the jargon out of your language,” Welch says. As simple as it sounds, most bosses lack this quality, she says, and it’s probably holding them back.

  • “As gas prices drop, that creates an undertow for the entire crude oil market,” said Tom Kloza, global head of energy analysis at Oil Price Information Service. Part of the problem is a tough comparison with extraordinarily low gasoline prices last year. This strategy should unnerve conservatives; almost any other Republican president drawn from last year’s primary field would be scoring more wins for their cause right now than Trump has. Metro Exodus is bigger than 2033 and Last Light combined

4A Games has said previously that Metro Exodus will be more open than the previous games in the Metro series, but it won't be a completely open world like that of Stalker. For one thing, individual levels in Exodus will be much larger than anything seen in the previous games. The biggest outdoor level in Last Light was roughly "200 meters to 100 meters," Prokhorov said,. That means everything from weapons, attachments, and other loot, to "frozen stories" that reveal more about the game world and

Boo! Behold almost 30 minutes of Luigi’s Mansion 3 gameplay

Halloween came early this year with an impressive, nearly 30-minute gameplay trailer for Luigi's Mansion 3 . The lengthy footage shows off both single-player and co-op gameplay exploring a garden-themed floor of the hotel in which Luigi's Mansion 3 takes place. The first thing that struck me about the gameplay footage is how detailed and interactive the environments are. Finally, the footage shows the co-op team taking on the garden floor's boss fight, the "special ghost" Dr. Potter, who carries

The latest thing to support ray tracing is Excel, apparently

This wild person who goes by the username s0lly has made a ray tracing demo inside Microsoft Excel. Ray tracing, which Nvidia is pushing with its new RTX cards, is a method of simulating the way that light interacts with objects. It seems that Excel isn't the most efficient way to render ray traced graphics. This isn't s0lly's first wild Excel demo. They've also created a 3D engine inside Excel, which is also way over my head.
