  • The developer behind mobile game hits Candy Crush Saga and Bubble Witch Saga, Stockholm-based King, is working on a new game based on Activision’s Call of Duty franchise, according to job listings on the company’s website. King’s Call of Duty game is being built for mobile devices. Details on the project are scant, as King implies it’s still in the prototyping phase of development. The company is hiring for at least four positions: art director, level designer, senior systems designer and senior

Klein created a 13-minute video blasting Jack Nicas, the author of a Wall Street Journal report on brands advertising against offensive videos on YouTube. Klein’s next video claimed that the Wall Street Journal doctored images to support its story, and that’s where things started to blow up. • Microsoft has coughed up detailed tech specs for the Xbox Scorpio, and the hardware is impressive. These exclusives aren’t always the biggest games, but they provide a constant drip of high-quality games you can’t play on the Xbox One, and it’s a huge competitive advantage. It’s not a competition as much as it’s a bloodbath; the Xbox platform doesn’t have the software to fight back. That means exclusives, that means new games in existing franchises and that means convincing players that they’re

  • Mass Effect: Andromeda’s 1.05 patch is live now, and fans are already noting the improvements and changes to the game. The increase in inventory space and new graphical options are welcome, but the change in how human and Asari eyes are rendered is surprisingly large. It may seem like a subtle thing, but the eyes have gone from looking like they were painted onto the character to having actual depth and expression. That’s a nice improvement to the character visuals, but it’s yet another reminder

  • Parappa the Rapper: Back at It AgainThere were a bunch of old school games for Sony that made their way into our hearts, but one game that definitely stood out for many – or at least for me – was Parappa the Rapper. The game features some stylistic beats, a unique design, and a simple but frustratingly hard game from time to time. Only some small features have been added to the game, but overall it’s pretty much a complete reproduction of the original game. Please take a second to give us a foll

With 2,000 karma points in my pocket—apparently, passing through a tiger’s digestive tract comes with a decent reward—I start over as a deer. While wandering around looking for a mate, I discover I can attack by performing a sort of headbutt. I’m a tiger after all, a tiger in a rabbit skin. I’m pretty sure this isn’t intended, judging by the reaction of the puma to being lig

  • Who knew the final boss of the entire Dark Souls series would be a super sad uncle? Fun-damentalsThe bigger a Dark Souls boss, the more frustrating they are to fight, generally. Dark Souls’ combat system is at its least frustrating when fighting human figures. Character and mechanics collide to make that sad, exciting Dark Souls stew so many love. Dark Souls’ last boss never gets the final hit he worked so hard for, and it still hurts.

  • WHY I LOVE In Why I Love, PC Gamer writers pick an aspect of PC gaming that they love and write about why it’s brilliant. From the intro to the dying moments of the main quest, the Imperial City dominates Oblivion, and it’s little wonder. It’s woefully underpopulated, something especially noticeable now, more than ten years after Oblivion’s release. The emptiness risks being jarring, but I find it conspires with everything else to lend the city a restful, even fading feel. With a few lockpicks a

The Blind Labyrinth node in the Age of Triumph record book requires teams to kill every Gorgon within the Gorgon Maze after the Templar encounter. Metro Exodus is bigger than 2033 and Last Light combined

4A Games has said previously that Metro Exodus will be more open than the previous games in the Metro series, but it won't be a completely open world like that of Stalker. For one thing, individual levels in Exodus will be much larger than anything seen in the previous games. The biggest outdoor level in Last Light was roughly "200 meters to 100 meters," Prokhorov said,. That means everything from weapons, attachments, and other loot, to "frozen stories" that reveal more about the game world and

Devil May Cry 5’s coming in spring 2019 and it stars Nero, Dante, and a wise-talking mechanic

Devil May Cry 5 is real, it stars Nero, and it's coming in spring 2019. Don't worry, the teaser ended with a quick appearance from original Devil May Cry protagonist Dante as well. But still, nice of Microsoft to give Nero and friends a great big stage to do their debut on, right? Oh, and one last thing: despite the fact that Microsoft now owns Ninja Theory, which developed DmC: Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 5 is being built internally at Capcom. We'll just have to wait and see what Ninja Theory

But it's also fairly likely that Epic Games will re-release the Infinity Blade games for its recently launched Epic Games Store.
