The developer behind mobile game hits Candy Crush Saga and Bubble Witch Saga, Stockholm-based King, is working on a new game based on Activision’s Call of Duty franchise, according to job listings on the company’s website. King’s Call of Duty game is being built for mobile devices. Details on the project are scant, as King implies it’s still in the prototyping phase of development. The company is hiring for at least four positions: art director, level designer, senior systems designer and senior

But it’s clear he was targeting the Wall Street Journal over the outlet’s reporting on YouTube. Klein created a 13-minute video blasting Jack Nicas, the author of a Wall Street Journal report on brands advertising against offensive videos on YouTube. Klein’s next video claimed that the Wall Street Journal doctored images to support its story, and that’s where things started to blow up. Serious allegations with comical evidenceThe evidence that the Wall Street Journal photoshopped images of Coke
Microsoft has coughed up detailed tech specs for the Xbox Scorpio, and the hardware is impressive. These exclusives aren’t always the biggest games, but they provide a constant drip of high-quality games you can’t play on the Xbox One, and it’s a huge competitive advantage. It’s not a competition as much as it’s a bloodbath; the Xbox platform doesn’t have the software to fight back. That means exclusives, that means new games in existing franchises and that means convincing players that they’re

Mass Effect: Andromeda’s 1.05 patch is live now, and fans are already noting the improvements and changes to the game. The increase in inventory space and new graphical options are welcome, but the change in how human and Asari eyes are rendered is surprisingly large. It may seem like a subtle thing, but the eyes have gone from looking like they were painted onto the character to having actual depth and expression. That’s a nice improvement to the character visuals, but it’s yet another reminder

Parappa the Rapper: Back at It AgainThere were a bunch of old school games for Sony that made their way into our hearts, but one game that definitely stood out for many – or at least for me – was Parappa the Rapper. The game features some stylistic beats, a unique design, and a simple but frustratingly hard game from time to time. Only some small features have been added to the game, but overall it’s pretty much a complete reproduction of the original game. Please take a second to give us a foll

My first goal as I spawn in as a bunny is to grow to adulthood, which is accomplished, I discover, with a single keypress. With 2,000 karma points in my pocket—apparently, passing through a tiger’s digestive tract comes with a decent reward—I start over as a deer. While wandering around looking for a mate, I discover I can attack by performing a sort of headbutt. I’m a tiger after all, a tiger in a rabbit skin. I’m pretty sure this isn’t intended, judging by the reaction of the puma to being lig

Who knew the final boss of the entire Dark Souls series would be a super sad uncle? Fun-damentalsThe bigger a Dark Souls boss, the more frustrating they are to fight, generally. Dark Souls’ combat system is at its least frustrating when fighting human figures. Character and mechanics collide to make that sad, exciting Dark Souls stew so many love. Dark Souls’ last boss never gets the final hit he worked so hard for, and it still hurts.

Jesse’s complete Journey to Un’Goro card predictions For predictions on the power level of all 135 Un’Goro cards, check out Jesse’s spreadsheet here. This allows you to have a much stronger early-game presence and still win with value in the late game. Much like the Warrior quest, Deathrattle decks already come with a powerful late-game value win condition in the form of N’zoth. One weakness of the strategy is playing the quest on turn 1 instead of a minion in such a highly-aggressive deck. Poss
The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Episode 3, Above the Law, picks up right where Episode 2 left off, with one member of new protagonist Javier’s party in critical condition and the group knocking on The New Frontier’s door for emergency aid. As expected, The Walking Dead: A New Frontier‘s Episode 3 primarily revolves around The New Frontier itself, with different claims regarding its actions and ethics coming from all sides. The Walking Dead series continues to uphold all of Telltale Games’ class

It’s time to party like it’s 2010, because League of Legends is getting not one but two new champions in one release. Rakan the Charmer and Xayah the Rebel are two lovers from the new region of Vastaya. Fey Feathers: Rakan will occasionally get a shield that scales with AP. Finally, Rakan and Xayah are a really excellent take on the concept of a dual champion. Xayah and Rakan work well together, have unique, built-in synergy, and can even take advantage of their shared recall for some speedy esc

Noah, aka Entropy-SoldierWith this sentiment in mind, GoldenEye: Source soldiered on and spent the next several years growing and refining the GoldenEye experience. Whereas other prominent shooters operate automatic health regeneration mechanics, for example, GoldenEye: Source instead still relies on armour. With this in mind, GoldenEye: Source is an archetypal labour of love, and a perfect example of hobbyist modders working with and for its community. Yet despite its most influx of players, th
WHY I LOVE In Why I Love, PC Gamer writers pick an aspect of PC gaming that they love and write about why it’s brilliant. From the intro to the dying moments of the main quest, the Imperial City dominates Oblivion, and it’s little wonder. It’s woefully underpopulated, something especially noticeable now, more than ten years after Oblivion’s release. The emptiness risks being jarring, but I find it conspires with everything else to lend the city a restful, even fading feel. With a few lockpicks a

In addition to Challenge Modes, the refreshed Vault of Glass also has a few tasks to complete in the Age of Triumph record book. The Blind Labyrinth node in the Age of Triumph record book requires teams to kill every Gorgon within the Gorgon Maze after the Templar encounter. The Gorgons are beefy enemies with high health pools and their singular Gaze attacks can wipe an entire raid team quickly. Players familiar with Vault of Glass will understand this mechanic. pcgamer wrote a new post, Mass Effect: Andromeda’s sequel should ditch nearly everything about Andromeda, on the site GoGame.com 1 year, 8 months ago
I finished Mass Effect: Andromeda last night—the main story, that is, because I will never hundred-percent those wasted planets—and felt the opposite of what I’ve been feeling for nearly 10 years now. Start the whole thing over, because this canvas was primed with bad paint: a science fiction story that runs away from all its interesting science fiction ideas. If you watched all the dad fragments, you know the truth: the Reapers were the motivation for the Andromeda Initiative. If you believe Li

4A Games has said previously that Metro Exodus will be more open than the previous games in the Metro series, but it won't be a completely open world like that of Stalker. For one thing, individual levels in Exodus will be much larger than anything seen in the previous games. The biggest outdoor level in Last Light was roughly "200 meters to 100 meters," Prokhorov said,. That means everything from weapons, attachments, and other loot, to "frozen stories" that reveal more about the game world and
Kalypso Media has announced that Tropico 6 for PC has been delayed until January 2019, with the dictator sim releasing for consoles in summer 2019. According to a statement from the publisher, Tropico was delayed from a 2018 release date to give the development team at Limbic Studios more time to polish the title. Tropico is a city building/dictator sim which sees you playing as the leader of the island state of Tropico (AKA El Presidente). Tropico 6 is the latest addition to the Tropico series
Devil May Cry 5 is real, it stars Nero, and it's coming in spring 2019. Don't worry, the teaser ended with a quick appearance from original Devil May Cry protagonist Dante as well. But still, nice of Microsoft to give Nero and friends a great big stage to do their debut on, right? Oh, and one last thing: despite the fact that Microsoft now owns Ninja Theory, which developed DmC: Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 5 is being built internally at Capcom. We'll just have to wait and see what Ninja Theory
Infinity Blade is an RPG series exclusive to Apple's iOS devices. Developed by Epic Games, the trilogy served as a fancy way to show off an iDevice's gaming prowess. Well, in its announcement post, Epic Games suggests that Infinity Blade may pop up in places "you wouldn't expect". But it's also fairly likely that Epic Games will re-release the Infinity Blade games for its recently launched Epic Games Store. "With the development of Spyjinx and other projects, it has become increasingly difficult
