Among those was Project L, a working title for a League of Legends fighting game. The short answer is: not anytime soon, according to the designer of Project L (and co-founder of EVO), Tom Cannon. Thx for all the well wishes for Riot's fighting gsme project. From the short bits of gameplay we got to see with a UI present, a lot of the usual fighting game elements are present. Android 11: what we want to see

The 2020 Android update is set to be Android 11 – that’s not speculation, but fact, since Google has confirmed the name itself. That means while Android 9 was Android Pie, Android 10 wasn’t Android Quiche, and Android 11 won’t be Android Rhubarb and Custard (sadly) - but it will be packed with updates and, likely, a few long-awaited features. The newest Android operating systemThe newest Android operating system When is it out? The OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro were the first non-Google smartphones whic

Intel may have a 6-core Comet Lake S CPU to challenge AMD in desktops

Intel may have moved onto 10nm process nodes for its Ice Lake processors (CPUs), but it looks like 14nm is still where its focus is for desktop. The leak shows an Intel CPU tested on an H400-series motherboard, one we understand to be designed for desktop Comet Lake-S processors using the LGA 1200 socket. New life for 14nmCurrently, Intel has already introduced 10nm Ice Lake CPUs and 14nm Comet Lake CPUs for mobile devices, but we haven't seen desktop versions of these CPUs show up yet. And, whi

Microsoft unveils plan to apply Xbox-like security measures to Windows PCs

(Image credit: Wikipedia (user Coolcaesar))Microsoft has announced a new 'Secured-core PC' initiative that aims to harden the security in Windows PCs at the firmware level. Microsoft points out that firmware attacks have increased five-fold in the last three years, based on information in NIST's National Vulnerability Database. The Secured-core PC initiative is Microsoft's answer to this, and it is working with AMD, Intel, Qualcomm, and OEM partners to ensure it's widely adopted. A certified Sec

Hearthstone trophy continues esports tradition of falling apart on air

All that glitters isn't gold, or assembled with care, or worth much at all, if esports trophies are anything to go on. Speaking to Kotaku , Blizzard PR coordinator Eric Elliott said the trophy didn't exactly break, the top just wasn't attached tightly enough. If a trophy were to truly break, Elliott reassured Kotaku Blizzard would fix it for the winners. Blizzard's two fumbled trophy ceremonies will probably ensure a return to large metal goblets and expensive shipping costs, and probably for th

Pathologic 2 DLC is out next week, free for owners of the base game

"Pathologic 2: The Marble Nest DLC [is] a two-hour spin-off story in the world of the Pathologic 2," the studio said. The Marble Nest Steam page describes it as a "self-contained story" that requires no knowledge (or memory, or comprehension) of Pathologic 2. Agent 47 puts a pumpkin on his head to tease Hitman 2’s Halloween horrors

Hitman 2's Halloween Escalation Contract is set to go live tomorrow, and developer IO Interactive still hasn't said what exactly it's all about. It might be a bit odd, but I'd say that 47's Headless Hitman getup is the most normal thing about this video. But I feel like this goes beyond the usual costume-wearing nonsense that he employs in his day-to-day business, especially since the video portrays Hawke's Bay, the isolated New Zealand beach house from Hitman 2's tutorial level. The Hitman Hall
