The strongest villain in Destiny 2 is now Trevor the killer zamboni

The new Destiny 2 Outbreak Perfected Exotic quest is fantastic. Trevor, or TR3-VR, is… actually, I don't know what Trevor is supposed to be. But because Destiny has a history of putting killer zambonis in endgame content, that's what I'm going to call him. I don't know, but I love it - and clearly, so does Bungie.

Intel CPU roadmap: all the ‘Lakes’ from 14nm to 7nm

It was the second of Intel's 14nm CPUs—the "tock" to Broadwell's "tick," though of course Intel abandoned Tick-Tock shortly after. Cannon Lake (CNL, 10nm, 8th Gen Core, May 2018): Ah yes, the ephemeral Cannon Lake, Intel's first 10nm processor design. Power, memory latency, and other elements were worse than with existing 14nm mobile designs. Perhaps even more shocking is that the majority of five Intel CPU generations are covered by a single process technology: 14nm. Meanwhile, AMD is making in

Pokemon Go leak shows Mossy, Glacial, and Magnetic lures on the way

According to a leak from Pokemon Go Twitter sleuth Chrales , Niantic's catch-'em-up is adding three new type-specific Pokemon lures. It's unclear when these lures will arrive - and Niantic has yet to confirm their existence at all - but if the leak is right, Glacial, Magnetic, and Mossy lures are on the way. Pokemon Go has always had consumable lures which attract more and rarer Pokemon, but these three lures will reportedly differ by focusing on very specific Pokemon. Per Chrales' tweet, Glacia

Mortal Kombat 11 Dev Diagnosed with PTSD Because of Game’s Violence

While it seems most developers are able to stomach this kind of violent content, at least one Mortal Kombat 11 developer has been diagnosed with PTSD after working on the game. This Mortal Kombat 11 developer, who chose to remain anonymous, spoke to Kotaku about their experience working on the ultra-violent fighting game. This person was also surrounded by “bloody real-life research material” that the animators referred to when recreating gore in Mortal Kombat 11. And I definitely hit that point

Intel’s ‘Project Athena’ vows to improve crappy laptop battery life

The natural successor to its MacBook Air-inspired Ultrabook spec introduced in 2011, Project Athena is less about making notebooks thinner and more focused on improving battery life. Rather, in the coming weeks, it's opening three Project Athena Open Labs locations to help test and certify devices. Seeing as the first batch is slated for next year, some Project Athena notebooks are going to house Intel's 10nm Ice Lake processors while others will use the company's Y- and U-series silicon.
