Nvidia releases Volta-based Titan V for PC

Nvidia just announced it's newest Titan graphics card at the NIPS 2017 conference, the Titan V. NIPS stands for Neural Information Processing Systems, and the focus is on AI and deep learning. In raw numbers, the GPU portion of the Titan V can do 14.9 TFLOPS of single-precision FP32 computations, which is 31 percent more than the Titan Xp. But the real power of the Titan V, at least insofar as deep learning and AI calculations are concerned, comes from the 640 Tensor cores. But despite the massi

Grab a 34-inch ultrawide monitor for $240 or a GTX 1070 Ti for $465 with Game Awards deals

Lots of games were announced at The Game Awards tonight, some prizes were handed out, and A Way Out game director Josef Fares wouldn't stop saying "fuck" until host Geoff Keighley finally cut him off and rolled the trailer. Oh, and The Rock flipped off Game Informer, that was pretty good too. There were also a few good Game Awards deals on gaming hardware on eBay. Those "regular prices" are conveniently a bit higher than you'd actually find these products on Amazon, but the sale prices are genui

GTFO gameplay trailer showcases a strange, sinister underground treasure hunt

One of the more interesting games in recent years has to be the four-player survival-horror game GTFO, originally announced earlier this summer. At The Game Awards tonight, developer Ten Chambers showed off what I believe is the first look at actual gameplay with a new trailer that promises a sinister and thoroughly unpleasant treasure-hunting experience. Players form teams of scavengers who are forced to explore a vast underground complex in search of valuable artifacts. The YouTube page indica

A Way Out’s director yells ‘Fuck the Oscars’ before delivering rant about EA and loot boxes at The Game Awards

"I'm so passionate to be here, so excited to be meeting these industry people," began Fares calmly, before suddenly adding, "The Oscars should fuck themselves up. He paused to ask Keighley if he could swear, then shouted, "Fuck the Oscars! Fuck the Oscars! EA Originals is publishing A Way Out, by the way. In this case, it's like they've been treating me very well, I have 100 percent of the income to my team for the game I'm doing, you know?"

New Metro Exodus trailer released at The Game Awards

As we warned yesterday , a substantial serving of new Metro Exodus footage was shown at The Game Awards today. It's the first time we've seen the game in action since it was unveiled at E3 last year, but "action" is probably not the correct term, because while the video was substantial, it didn't show any gameplay. While rumour had it that 4A Games would take the series in an open world direction, the studio later confirmed it would be a mix of linear and non-linear levels – in keeping with how
