Assassin’s Creed Origins has an $800 special edition

If there's one dependable lesson to be learned from E3 every year, it's that consumerism is good. And that's no better demonstrated than by this ludicrous Assassin's Creed: Origins edition. Tidily dubbed the Dawn of the Creed Collector's Case – Legendary Edition, it'll set you back $800 (or $1,250 in Australia). The game is there of course, as is a season pass, a physical world map, and an eagle skull amulet, which is nice. Scroll to the bottom for an image showing everything in the edition.

Sony just revealed 5 good reasons to buy PlayStation VR

Sony’s E3 conference this year marked almost eight months to the day since the release of its PlayStation VR headset and that meant the pressure was on for the console giant to prove its commitment to the still fledgling platform. It was essential, then, that Sony prove naysayers wrong with a bunch of new PSVR games. At this year’s show, Sony revealed not one but five new PSVR games. Not only do the games look engaging, they’re diverse enough to draw a much wider audience into PSVR, ranging from

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 multiplayer hands-on: Still accessible, still spectacular, but this time there’s a dash of real, Battlefield depth to go with it

Star Wars Battlefront has changed, and so far, it seems, all for the better. This is still Star Wars Battlefront, with its core mindset of immediate, accessible fun. And besides, this is a Star Wars FPS. Surely the point is to have as much cool, cinematic Star Wars stuff going on as possible, right? Star Wars: Battlefront 2, then, is a much more gratifying game to play than its predecessor.

Destiny 2’s Luke Smith on PC features, PvP, new subclasses, and more

In not playing the first Destiny game from 2014, you haven’t really missed anything. Luke SmithIn not playing the first Destiny game from 2014, you haven’t really missed anything. Oh no, oh my gosh, I don’t think you’re trying to find anything suspicious at all. Going here into PC for the first time, we want to make sure that the PC game plays as well as the console game with respect to the audience’s desires. We want to have a game that plays amazingly on the PC for what the PC audience expects

10 most exciting PS4 games Sony showed off at E3 2017

Sony's E3 2017 was much like its last - a no frills event that cut away all the big on-stage monologues and guests in favour of game demos and trailers. While there certainly weren't enough live demos for our liking (and a few too many edited trailers), its clear PS4 has a lot of content heading its way. And Sony is looking to cement its decisive lead by investing in exclusivity. Spider-Man. It's a powerful lineup, so sit back and let us give you the best of Sony's E3 banquet...

Sony’s E3 2017 press conference was another classy, confident show, but thanks to over-familiar games, not a truly exciting one

That’s what I just got from Sony’s E3 2017 press conference. In terms of Sony’s first-party selection, everything is now the same cross between The Last of Us and Uncharted, settings and characters variable. More beautiful art that was rapidly starting to look like the same beautiful art I was seeing in every Sony game. And there was Horizon: The Frozen Wilds, another great-looking Sony game with more familiar third-person action and more well-rendered snow. Sony’s other great point of E3 succes

Sony’s new PlayLink brings mobile and console gaming together

At its E3 conference this year, Sony has announced a new collection of smartphone-controlled games designed to entertain the whole family, including those who might not usually play games. Under the umbrella PlayLink, these games are played on the PlayStation 4 console, but controlled via an iOS or Android smartphone rather than the DualShock controller. The concept is fairly similar to Jackbox Party games, which allows several players to connect over their smartphones and play short but addicti

PlayStation E3 2017 Recap: Best of Sony at E3 2017

Sony's E3 2017 press conference has come and gone, and, well... Ubisoft's presser is still way in the lead for best of show. Regardless, Sony had plenty of big titles to show during its lean one-hour presentation, like God of War, Days Gone, and the exclusive Spider-Man game. It's a smart response to the way some people played Until Dawn in groups, voting how the main player should proceed. An extremely brief trailer showed Aloy, clad in her enhanced techno-armor and ready to hunt her share of r

Destiny 2 is set to release for PC this October

Destiny 2 will release for PC on October 24, Activision has confirmed. That's a little over a month after the Xbox One and PS4 editions, which will release September 6. Meanwhile, the PC beta is scheduled to happen around late August, though no firm release date has been confirmed as yet. If it's anything like the console versions, pre-orders will gain a week of early access before the wider public. Sony aired a brand new Destiny 2 trailer at its E3 2017 press conference earlier, which focused o
