Samsung begins rollout of Bixby for Galaxy S8 users in South Korea

Virtual assistant Bixby may have technically made its debut alongside Samsung’s latest Galaxy S8 flagships, but the full extent of the AI’s capabilities are still something of a mystery. And although users can still fill that gap with the Google Assistant, that’s not what Samsung really wants you to use on the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus . Samsung sent users of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus phones a notification regarding Bixby going live, then officially enabled the voice service at 1pm KST today. Step a

This time, that list came on the same Monday Amonkhet hit Magic Online, and somewhat surprisingly contained no bans or restrictions for Magic's Standard format. Enter, the combo: Sahe

Oculus VR will not have a booth at E3 this year

Oculus VR has had a notable presence at E3 since 2014, but the company has confirmed it will not have a booth at this year's convention. EA, Activision and Wargaming won't be there, either. As VentureBeat notes, it's possible that Oculus just hasn't anything new to show at this stage. Not having a booth doesn't m

Beat Cop review

The Brooklyn of Beat Cop often feels like the New York that I love, re-rendered in pixel art. More than once, Beat Cop has made me pause, nostalgic for the city of my heart. I have complicated feelings about Beat Cop, which is steeped in a kind of low-key awful. You're a disgraced detective turned beat cop, doomed to writing tickets for the conceivable future. Beat Cop could stand a few more round of updates, however.

Tech stocks are hitting record highs and there’s probably more to come

Tech stocks have been on a winning streak of late. The Nasdaq hit record highs last week while several of the largest names including Netflix and Microsoft continued their rallies. The event may cause some concern among investors as the Nasdaq first breached 5,000 in March 2000 which was followed quickly by the bust in tech stocks. But the feeling in the market is that things are different this time around, with a supportive environment for many of the large-cap tech companies. Apple, Alphabet,

Japan’s potato chip crisis hits home as spud shortage strikes snack makers: Report

The northern island of Hokkaido is Japan's top potato producing region, accounting for 80 percent of Japan's potatoes, but bad weather last summer has hit potato arrivals. Although snack makers do import fresh potatoes, stringent Japanese government regulations on
