Destiny: How to Beat the Atheon Challenge in Vault of Glass Raid

Since both King’s Fall and Wrath of the Machine have already had challenge modes, the guessing games will come to a close once players complete the Atheon challenge. Previously, Bungie had revealed that the Atheon challenge was the hardest it had created, and that was no over exaggeration. How to Complete the Atheon ChallengeThe key to completing the Atheon challenge is that a player must kill an Oracle during every teleport phase. Yooka-Laylee review

Yooka-Laylee is proof that sometimes our fondest memories should stay in the past. The premise of Yooka-Laylee is exploration and collecting. In older platformers, you’d often be forced to fight a world boss before being able to unlock more areas — in Yooka-Laylee, you’re only limited by the moves that Yooka and Laylee know. Yooka-Laylee often stakes some of its challenge on sometimes making you get to a far-off target before your powers vanish. It’s a common trap that Yooka-Laylee falls into —

Overwatch fans think they’ve figured out its next Heroes of the Storm rep

Heroes of the Storm could soon be getting another Overwatch character: Genji, according to some especially eagle-eyed fans. To the average viewer, he’s totally imperceptible; the shot fans say has Genji in it features a blurred-out, faraway screen. But zooming way, way in shows a character selection screen with a portrait that looks a heck of a lot like the cybernetic assassin. But when his fellow Overwatch members joined Heroes of the Storm — that would be Tracer, Zarya and Lucio — they got uni

How Mass Effect 2 found its style

Mass Effect 2 had style in a way that its predecessor simply didn't. The other games in the series don't necessarily follow Mass Effect 2's lead. I'm deliberately not using "synthetic" in the way Mass Effect does — to refer to artificial life — because it's really confusing. It’s embodies the thematic darkening of the Mass Effect series, and is a crucial element of Mass Effect 2. But what's less discussed — and arguably more important — is that despite being a sprawling RPG, Mass Effect 2's aest

Nintendo Switch’s best-selling eShop games are missing a big name

The Nintendo Switch eShop updated overnight to include a section for best-selling games. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild ekes onto the list at number seven, with six popular indie games besting it in eShop sales. Plus, with all that talk of how awful Nintendo Switch cartridges tasted right around the console’s launch, of course everyone would want to pick up a physical game with their system. We don’t have hard sales data on any of these games; the eShop section is based off the last two

BioWare promises to improve Mass Effect: Andromeda over time

The criticisms of Mass Effect: Andromeda have been numerous and emphatic so far. BioWare said today that it has heard that feedback, and in response, the company laid out a plan to fix the game’s technical issues and improve its overall quality. Andromeda has also taken heat for deeper problems, and Flynn said BioWare is working to address those issues in patches that the studio is planning to release “over the next two months,” as well as technical problems. Other planned updates to Andromeda i

Zelda producer hints at more open-world games to come

In an interview with Famitsu, longtime series producer Eiji Aonuma suggested that Zelda games will likely continue using expansive, open-world settings. When asked by Famitsu whether Zelda games will continue to use the unique of Breath of the Wild, Aonuma teased that we’d see more open-world Zelda in the future. “I think that, in the future, open air games will be the standard for Zelda,” Aonuma said. We wouldn’t expect Zelda games to abandon these going forward, but it could be years until we

Breath of the Wild’s smartest invention lets you fly over the entire map in 10 minutes

We’ve seen players concoct some fantastic ways to play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The way this works is that the player controls the magnetized bottom half with Magnesis, launching it way high into the air. With the use of some extra stamina boosts and potions, Link can paraglide across the entire expanse of Hyrule. Unlike other intrepid paragliding flights, this one only lasts about nine minutes — this is some seriously good use of items, folks. There’s something so soothing about

What you need to know about Persona 5 if you’ve never played a Persona game

Not everyone spent hundreds of hours on Persona 3, or played Persona 4 to completion multiple times across multiple platforms. This is a game that you’ll probably still be playing months from now, and that’s OK. There’s no rush. For each dungeon in the game, you’ll be given a set number of days that you have to complete said dungeon before something bad happens. As you’ll play the game, you’ll begin to work out when certain people are available to hang out, what days are best for studying and so
